Ian Wright BSC(Hons)
MCOptom - Optometrist & Co Director
Graduated from The City University in London in 1979 with honours degree in Optometry. Ian has been part of this practice for many years. He prides himself in giving honest and accurate advice and keeping the eye health of our community checked and monitored. Ian is interested in all aspects of Optometry. No day is ever the same but patient care is his priority. Ian lives locally with his wife Wendy who is a contact lens optician and dispensing optician. They have 4 grown up children.
Raman Aggarwal BSC(Hons)
MCOptom PGCert(Th), Prof Cert Glauc,
Prof Cert Med ret – Optometrist & Co Director
Graduated from University of Bradford in 2001 and has worked at several opticians over the years. After spending his childhood in Erdington, Birmingham, he moved with his family to Swindon in 2008, currently residing in Old Town, Swindon with his wife and teenage daughter. Raman strongly believes in patient care, and that everyone deserves the best service and products delivered by experts. As well as enjoying working at Watchfield, Raman also works part time in the eye department at Great Western Hospital, Swindon. He specializes in Medical Retina, Casualty and Paediatric refractions.
Wendy Wright FBDO CL(Hons)
Dispensing Optician and Contact Lens Practitioner & Co Director
Qualified as Dispensing Optician through City & Islington College and ABDO in 1999. Then furthered in Contact Lens practice in 2002. Over the years has worked in a variety of practices gaining vast experience in both the big multiples and the little independents. Now most of her time is devoted to Watchfield Opticians or the grandchildren in equal measure. She is married to fellow director Ian Wright.
Emma
Practice Manager
Emma has been with us for nearly 20 years. Her previous work in optical glazing labs gave her valuable insight into the manufacturing of spectacle lenses, skills that are very useful to us and our customers. She is well known by our patients and is our expert in lens manufacture.

Dispensing Assistant
Tanya joined us in August 2022 with many years of experience in the optical industry as an optical advisor.

Optical Administrator
Helen joined our team in April 2022 bringing us more than 30 years of experience as an optical administrator which she had gained whilst working at Great Western Hospital eye clinic.
